About DaiLY

DaiLY is a course companion platform for thinking critically about artificial intelligence. It brings together a living library of AI resources, analytical frameworks, case studies, and daily reports so that students, educators, and researchers can study AI not just as a technology, but as a social, political, and ecological force.

The platform is built around three complementary perspectives — pro-AI, anti-AI, and decolonial-feminist critique — so that learners encounter the full spectrum of debate rather than a single narrative. Each day, DaiLY gathers fresh news and scholarship, synthesizes a critical report, and folds those sources back into a growing curriculum of frameworks, case studies, glossary terms, quizzes, and syllabi.

DaiLY is designed for university classrooms, independent study groups, journalists, and anyone who wants to move beyond hype or fear toward a grounded, evidence-based understanding of AI's promises and harms. The Analysis Lab invites users to apply scholarly frameworks to real-world AI systems, while the syllabus generator helps instructors assemble multi-week courses drawing on the full resource library.

The platform is built and maintained by the @newmedia team as part of the Loading Humanity initiative. It is a living project: new sources are gathered daily, frameworks and case studies are expanded regularly, and the curriculum is periodically archived as a downloadable PDF snapshot for transparency and version control.
